ETS2 Nordic Horizons DLC Free on Steam

Euro Truck Simulator 2 has built one of the most loyal communities in PC gaming, and the ETS2 Nordic Horizons DLC is one of its most ambitious map expansions yet. Released in November 2025 by SCS Software, the DLC stretches your routes across Norway, Sweden, and Finland, adding around 40 cities, dramatic fjords, Arctic coastal villages, and new bridges and tunnels that make every haul feel genuinely different. If you have been eyeing it and wondering whether there is a real way to get the ETS2 Nordic Horizons DLC free, the answer is yes, and it does not involve anything sketchy.

Getting Steam Games for Free

Steam DLC does not go free on its own. The Nordic Horizons expansion carries a modest price tag, and while Steam sales do happen, waiting for a meaningful discount on a recently released DLC can mean months of patience. That frustration pushes some players to look elsewhere, and what turns up when you go hunting for a free copy is rarely worth the trouble. Offers that promise a paid DLC for nothing, gift card giveaway gimmicks, and downloads from unofficial sources all carry real risk: expired or invalid codes, devices exposed to malware, personal data handed over to unknown parties, and accounts that could be flagged or banned. The only paths genuinely worth your time are buying through Steam at its current sale price, picking up a legitimate Steam gift card from a trusted marketplace like Eneba, or earning that gift card without spending anything at all.

What Does Nordic Horizons Add to ETS2?

The DLC expands the map significantly across Scandinavia and the far north. You get roughly 40 new cities to deliver to, winding coastal routes along Norwegian fjords, Arctic Ocean scenery, new tunnels and bridge crossings, and the kind of remote village roads that reward careful driving. It builds on the original Scandinavia and Beyond the Baltic Sea DLCs, deepening that northern corner of the map with detail that longtime fans have been asking for since the Scandinavia pack launched years ago.
