Is ARC Raiders Free? How to Get It

ARC Raiders is one of the most anticipated extraction shooters to land on Steam in recent years. Developed by Embark Studios, the same team behind The Finals, it drops players into a brutal third-person PvPvE world where human survivors fight back against waves of machine invaders. It launched in 2025 as a premium title, and if you have been hunting for a way to get ARC Raiders free, this guide covers the safest and most reliable path to doing exactly that.

Getting Steam Games for Free

Here is the honest picture: ARC Raiders is a paid game, and no legitimate free route comes without some form of effort or exchange. Scouring the internet for a free copy mostly produces letdowns and dead ends. Promises of free keys or gift-card codes tend to lead nowhere useful, and offers that claim to hand over a paid game for nothing almost always deliver expired codes, broken links, or pages that ask for personal details before revealing the catch. Downloading the game from an unofficial source introduces real risks to your device and your Steam account, including malware, stolen data, and permanent bans. The clean options are buying directly on Steam at its current price, or picking up a legitimate gift card from Eneba, a trusted digital marketplace where you can find Steam credit to cover the cost. Both routes keep your account safe and your progress intact from day one.

Will ARC Raiders Be Free-to-Play?

ARC Raiders was originally announced as a free-to-play title, but Embark Studios confirmed ahead of launch that it would release as a premium purchase instead. There is no current indication that the game will revert to a free-to-play model, though the developers have committed to free seasonal updates post-purchase.

That shift surprised a lot of players who had been following the game since its early reveals. The good news is that once you own it, ongoing seasonal content arrives at no extra charge. The base game comes in a Standard edition and a Deluxe edition; the Deluxe version includes cosmetic extras and Raider Tokens, the in-game currency used for cosmetic items, but the core gameplay experience is identical across both. Neither edition is free, which is why having a Steam gift card ready makes such a difference.

How to Get ARC Raiders for Free?

The most reliable method is earning a Steam gift card through Snakzy and spending it on ARC Raiders directly in the Steam store. You play mobile games, stack up coins at your own pace, and redeem them for real store credit with no codes, no generators, and no risk to your account.

Here is how the process works from start to finish:

Download Snakzy on your mobile device from the official app store.
Browse the game library inside Snakzy and start playing titles that interest you.
Earn coins by hitting milestones, completing in-app tasks, and reaching new levels as you play.
Redeem your coins for a Steam gift card once you have built up enough credit.
Buy ARC Raiders on Steam using your gift card balance at the current listed price.

This approach works especially well for ARC Raiders free to play hopefuls who missed the original F2P window that never actually arrived. Instead of waiting on a model change that may never come, you can earn your way to the full game on your own schedule. It also answers the question about ARC Raiders and Xbox Game Pass: the game is not currently on Game Pass, so a Steam gift card earned through Snakzy remains the most practical free route available right now.
