Crimson Desert Free: Earn It Safely

Crimson Desert is one of the most anticipated action-adventure RPGs in recent memory, developed by Pearl Abyss, the studio behind Black Desert Online. Set in a richly detailed open world, it blends intense combat with deep narrative and exploration. The game launched on PC via Steam as a fully paid title, not a free-to-play experience. If you have been hunting for a way to get Crimson Desert free, this guide walks you through every legitimate option worth your time.

Getting Steam Games for Free

Paid games rarely land in your library for nothing, and Crimson Desert is no exception. When you go looking, plenty of what turns up is not worth the risk: offers claiming to hand out working keys, downloads from unofficial sources, or pages that ask for login details before revealing a reward that never materialises. Unofficial downloads carry real consequences, including malware, compromised personal data, and permanent account bans. The only safe places to get the game are the official Steam store or legitimate gift cards and platform funds from a trusted digital marketplace like Eneba. A Steam sale is genuinely worth waiting for, and keeping an eye on Pearl Abyss promotions around hardware launches has historically rewarded patient players with bundle opportunities. Those are the routes that carry no risk.

How to Get Crimson Desert for Free?

There is no free-to-play version of Crimson Desert, and no confirmed Game Pass listing at launch. The legitimate path to getting it at no out-of-pocket cost is earning Steam gift cards through an app like Snakzy and spending them at the official Steam store, which lets you own the game properly without touching your wallet directly.

Here is exactly how that works in practice:

Download Snakzy and create your free account.
Browse the game library inside the app and start playing mobile games that interest you.
Earn coins as you hit milestones, complete in-game tasks, and clear challenges across different titles.
Redeem your coins for a Steam gift card directly inside the app.
Add the gift card value to your Steam wallet and purchase Crimson Desert from the official Steam store page.

This approach also makes it easier to aim for a higher edition. Crimson Desert is available in Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s editions, with the premium tiers including extra in-game content and bonuses. Stacking a few Steam gift card redemptions over time means you can reach whichever tier fits your interest, including the Deluxe Edition, without committing extra funds upfront.

Is Crimson Desert a free game?

Crimson Desert is not a free game. It is a buy-to-play title with a one-time purchase on Steam and other platforms. Pearl Abyss has confirmed free post-launch content updates, meaning additional story and world content will not cost extra after purchase, but the base game itself requires payment to access.

Is Crimson Desert going to be on Game Pass?

As of its launch, Crimson Desert has no announced Game Pass availability. Pearl Abyss has not confirmed any plans to bring the game to Microsoft’s subscription service. If that changes, it would be announced officially through Pearl Abyss or Microsoft channels, and a Steam gift card earned through Snakzy remains the most reliable route to getting it free in the meantime.
