Cricket 26 Free on Steam: Get It Safely

Cricket 26 is the official game of the Ashes, developed by Big Ant Studios and published by Nacon, released on November 19, 2025. It brings a serious simulation experience to Steam, covering Management Career, Ashes Mode, Pro Team, and Academy, with overhauled batting, bowling, and fielding mechanics that set a new bar for cricket on PC. If you have been searching for a legitimate way to get Cricket 26 free on Steam, you are in the right place.

Getting Steam Games for Free

The honest reality is that Cricket 26 is a premium game, and the Steam store page reflects that with a full asking price. When you go looking for a free copy, what turns up is a mix of expired promotions, dubious codes that never work, and downloads from unofficial sources. None of those routes are worth the risk: unofficial downloads can compromise your device and put your Steam account in jeopardy through bans or stolen credentials. The safe move is to buy directly from Steam using legitimate funds, or to use genuine Steam gift cards, including codes and gift cards from Eneba, the digital marketplace our rewards feed into.

Is there a free trial for Cricket 26 on Steam?

As of launch, Cricket 26 does not have an officially listed free trial on Steam. Big Ant Studios has not announced a demo period for the PC version, so the full game purchase is currently the only way to play it through Steam.

If you are wondering about other platforms, Cricket 26 is also available on Xbox and PlayStation, and Xbox cloud streaming options exist under certain subscription tiers, though those carry their own subscription costs. On PC via Steam, there is no shortcut around buying the game, which is exactly why the earning method below matters.

Is Cricket 26 available for free download on the Play Store?

Cricket 26 by Big Ant Studios is not available on the Google Play Store. Any app appearing there under a similar name is a different, unrelated title and not the Ashes simulation you are looking for. The official release lives on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation only.
