Resident Evil Requiem Free on Steam

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth mainline entry in Capcom’s legendary survival horror series, released in 2026 on Steam, Epic Games, and PS5. It builds on the first-person perspective that made Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village so compelling, pushing the series into new territory with its unsettling atmosphere and relentless pacing. If you have been searching for a legitimate way to get resident evil requiem free, the answer is a little nuanced but absolutely worth understanding before you spend a cent.

Getting Steam Games for Free

Resident Evil Requiem is a premium release, which means most routes that promise a free copy lead nowhere good. Hardware bundle promotions tied to graphics card launches have already expired, so any page still advertising that route is pointing you to a dead end. Codes that surface on unofficial pages often turn out to be expired, already redeemed, or tied to offers that ask for personal details or payment information before delivering nothing. Downloads from unofficial sources carry their own serious risks: malware, corrupted files, and the permanent loss of a Steam account you have spent years building. The only safe ways to get the game are buying it directly through Steam at its current price, redeeming a legitimate gift card or Eneba wallet funds from a trusted source, or earning that gift card through a platform like Snakzy.

Is the Resident Evil Requiem DLC Going to Be Free?

Capcom has confirmed that Leon Must Die Forever, a dedicated additional game mode for Resident Evil Requiem, is free for all owners of the base game. It is accessible after purchase through the same platform you bought the game on, at no extra cost. You do not need the Deluxe Edition to claim it.

The Deluxe Edition does bundle additional content beyond that free mode, but the base game plus the complimentary DLC is already a substantial package. Worth keeping in mind when you are deciding which edition your Steam gift card should cover.

If you prefer the flexibility of a broader digital wallet, Snakzy also lets you redeem coins for Eneba wallet funds, which can be spent on Steam keys, game add-ons, and digital content across a wide range of platforms. Either route puts you at the official checkout with real funds you earned yourself.

Is There Any Free Resident Evil?

Yes, there is a free official demo for Resident Evil Requiem on Steam. It covers an early portion of the game and gives a genuine taste of the mechanics and atmosphere. One important detail worth knowing before you invest time in it: progress and save data from the Resident Evil Requiem demo do not carry over to the full game, so you will start fresh when you purchase. Think of it as a commitment-free preview rather than a head start.

Beyond Requiem, Capcom has released free standalone content for other entries in the series over the years, so keeping an eye on Steam sales and Capcom’s official channels is always worthwhile if you want to explore the broader franchise.
